Jennifer, daughter-in-law of Bill Belichick, awkwardly avoids stern Jordon Hudson at UNC game.
The tension between Bill Belichick’s daughter-in-law Jennifer Schmitt and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, seems apparent, as the two avoided interacting while attending the North Carolina Tar Heels game at Chapel Hill recently. Observers noted that Hudson maintained a serious demeanor in her private suite overlooking the field where Belichick was coaching, while Schmitt appeared enthusiastic and engaged in her suite, visibly enjoying herself with a drink in hand.
Both women seemed to deliberately keep their distance from each other, with no signs of communication during the event. Hudson opted for a white tank top, a blue reptile mini skirt, and white knee-high boots, while Schmitt sported a white long-sleeve crop top, blue high-waisted shorts, and white knee-high boots in her suite. Ultimately, the Tar Heels, led by Belichick, emerged victorious over the Stanford Cardinals with a score of 20 to 15.
This apparent tension comes on the heels of Schmitt’s public criticism of Hudson’s behavior during a memorable appearance by Belichick on “CBS Sunday Mornings” in April. During the interview, Hudson, who is significantly younger than the former New England Patriots coach, was criticized for interrupting the conversation. Ex-Patriots players Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, speaking on the “Dudes on Dudes” podcast, revealed that Hudson was working with Belichick in a professional capacity as his publicist. Comedian Nikki Glaser supported their explanation, highlighting that it is common for publicists to manage interviews and provide assistance to their clients.
In response to these criticisms, Schmitt, who is married to Belichick’s son Stephen, defended the professional behavior typically exhibited by publicists during such situations. Belichick himself stood up for Hudson, asserting that the narrative portraying her as trying to control the conversation was false due to selective editing of clips from the interview.
Hudson playfully recreated her infamous interview interruption for Halloween by wearing the same outfit she had during the original incident. She shared a photo of herself in a gray collegiate-style Navy sweatshirt, red lipstick, and sunglasses, mirroring her appearance during the April interview. The 49-year age gap between Belichick and Hudson does not seem to deter their public appearances together, as Hudson continues to support her boyfriend at University of North Carolina football games since he assumed the role of head coach.
