Meghan Trainor remains unbothered as new album and tour focus on personal growth

A funeral service was recently held at Hard Rock Stadium to honor a Miami Beach police sergeant who tragically lost his life while on duty last month. The service was a solemn occasion to pay respects to the fallen sergeant.

Meghan Trainor, a pop music artist, has always stayed true to herself and her message of self-love despite facing criticism and negativity. Her lead single, “Still Don’t Care,” from her upcoming album “Toy with Me,” reflects her resilience in the face of hate.

Trainor drew inspiration for “Still Don’t Care” from personal experiences of dealing with online hate, particularly related to her fitness journey. She expressed her desire to write songs from a perspective of self-love and empowerment, hoping to inspire others to feel the same way.

The song features maximalist ’80s pop production and a choir by Scott Hoying from Pentatonix, as well as background vocals from Trainor’s family members. Despite the combative tone of the lyrics, Trainor’s message is clear – she won’t let negativity bring her down.

“Toy with Me” promises to deliver more self-love anthems, songs to channel her anger, and expressions of familial love. Trainor shared that her children had a special part in the album, contributing to a beautiful and emotional song called “Little One.”

Trainor poured eight months of hard work into creating “Toy with Me,” facing physical and mental challenges along the way. The process of songwriting took longer than usual, with each song demanding months of effort to perfect. Despite the difficulties, Trainor embraced the challenge of working with new songwriters who pushed her creatively.

Excited to share her music with her fans, Trainor plans to embark on a North American tour in 2026, accompanied by Icona Pop. The Get in Girl tour will kick off in June and will cover various cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and more.

Ticket sales for the tour will be open to the public on Nov. 21, after an American Express pre-sale phase. Trainor expressed her confidence in taking on the tour, having gained valuable experience from her previous Timeless Tour. She is excited to connect with her fans and deliver unforgettable performances across the country.
