Dick Move Releases New Album “Dream, Believe, Achieve” and Begins Tour in Aotearoa
Dick Move has just released their new album, “Dream, Believe, Achieve,” and is embarking on a tour across Aotearoa and Australia. Known for their high-energy live performances and politically charged anthems, the punk force delivers 13 tracks of relentless energy in a compact 25-minute album.
The album features previously released singles like “Fuck It,” a fierce rejection of misogyny and control, and “Nurses,” an empowering protest anthem. Tracks like “Scared Old Men” and “Shut Your Mouth” confront patriarchal systems and societal norms with snarling vocals and post-punk grit. Additionally, the album includes songs like “Up The Bus” and “Karangahape Road,” which pay homage to public transport and act as anti-gentrification anthems.
“Dream, Believe, Achieve” challenges the toxic positivity of self-help culture, transforming individual mantras into a collective call for action and change. The album was recorded and mixed by De Stevens at Roundhead Studios, produced by Peter Ruddell, a long-term collaborator, and mastered by Mikey Young. In conjunction with the album release, the band has shared a homemade video for their single “Shut Your Mouth,” featuring tour footage and dancing.
Dick Move’s tour of New Zealand kicks off at Double Whammy before heading to various locations across the country. The band has also announced an Australian tour in early 2026, following previous successful performances in the country.
