Prophets of Addiction drop latest single “Maggie May”
PROPHETS OF ADDICTION have been making waves with their latest album, “Face the Music,” released earlier this year through F-Bomb Records. The album has received high praise from various outlets worldwide, with The Rockpit describing it as the band’s best work yet, Sleaze Roxx calling it essential, and Veglam noting the album’s powerful closing track, “Take Me To Your Leader.” Lesli Sanders, the band’s mainman, expressed the effort and dedication put into the recording process, which has garnered an overwhelmingly positive response.
The band is gearing up to release the fourth single from “Face the Music,” a re-energized punk version of the classic Rod Stewart song, “Maggie May.” This track, highlighted by Rough Edge, has caught the attention of former Rod Stewart drummer Carmine Appice, who expressed interest in sharing it with Rod Stewart himself.
“Face the Music,” PROPHETS OF ADDICTION’s debut album under F-Bomb Records, was meticulously recorded in Seattle, WA, and Las Vegas, NV between 2022 and 2023. With Phil Soussan at the helm for mixing, producing, and mastering, the album aims to capture a classic 70’s rock n’ roll vibe while infusing a modern production quality. Drummer Wayne Stokely emphasized the unique sound of the album, stating that it blends the raw, punky essence of the band with a contemporary twist, creating a one-of-a-kind listening experience. Sanders echoed these sentiments, expressing his pleasure in finally recording the kind of music he has always envisioned.
Looking ahead, PROPHETS OF ADDICTION is gearing up for an eventful year, with plans to perform at the UK’s 2026 Hard Rock Hell Sleaze festival, accompanied by a UK tour. Additionally, Sanders is enthusiastic about reissuing the band’s earlier albums and unveiling previously unreleased music on various platforms, including digital, CD, and vinyl. The band’s creative drive and passion for music continue to fuel their desire to share their artistry with fans worldwide.
For those eager to hear the band’s latest single, “Maggie May,” it is now available for streaming and purchase. The overwhelming positive response to their music has solidified PROPHETS OF ADDICTION as a leading force in the Pure Rock genre, captivating audiences with their distinct sound and unwavering dedication to their craft.
