Twelve Questions with Leanne Binder – November 2025
he graciously agreed to. It was a moment I will never forget!
9. What is the best advice you’ve been given?
The best advice I was ever given was from an old college professor. He told me to stay true to myself and my vision. He said that blending in was not the key to success, that standing out and being true to my own voice was the only way to truly make a mark in this industry. I have carried that advice with me every step of the way.
10. What is one thing you absolutely cannot live without on the road?
Honestly, I cannot live without my journal. I write every night on the road to keep my thoughts and emotions in one place. It helps me make sense of the whirlwind that is touring and keeps me grounded even when everything else seems chaotic. My journal is my lifeline on the road.
11. If you could turn back time and do over one thing, what would it be?
If I could turn back time, I would tell my 12-year-old self to trust the voice inside her head. I would tell her that her intuition is powerful and that it will guide her through all the highs and lows of her journey.
12. If you weren’t in music, what would you be doing?
If I weren’t in music, I would probably be working with animals in some capacity. I have always had a deep connection with animals and find so much comfort and joy in their presence. Whether it’s volunteering at shelters or working on a farm, I know that animals would still play a significant role in my life even if music wasn’t my primary focus.
