Rosalía debuts “LUX” in Top 10 of Billboard 200 for the First Time: Taylor Swift Still …
Spanish singer Rosalía has achieved a significant milestone in her career, debuting with her latest album “LUX” at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. This debut marks a new milestone for Rosalía, with the album garnering 46,000 equivalent album units in its best week ever on the chart. The success of “LUX” can be attributed to its performance across various platforms, with 27,000 units coming from streaming, resulting in 34.49 million streams, the highest streaming week of Rosalía’s career. Additionally, 19,000 units were from physical and digital album sales, marking the best sales week of her career. “LUX” was released in various physical versions, including four CD box sets with merchandise, two vinyl versions, one of which is signed, and three exclusive tracks not available on the standard digital version.
The album’s success was further boosted by the single “Berghain,” featuring Björk and Yves Tumor, which climbed from 21 to 16 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, adding momentum to the album’s release. Prior to “LUX,” Rosalía’s only other album to enter the Billboard 200 was “MOTOMAMI” in 2022, which debuted and peaked at No. 33, making this No. 4 debut a significant leap in her career in the American market.
While Rosalía celebrates her new achievement, Taylor Swift continues her reign with “The Life of a Showgirl,” spending its sixth week at No. 1 with 110,000 units. On the other hand, TXT member YEONJUN made a splash with his debut solo album “NO LABELS: PART 01,” which debuted at No. 10 with 29,000 units, including 27,000 album sales that propelled it to the top of the Top Album Sales chart.
