ite ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, other setlist highlights were; ‘Seventeen Going Under’, ‘The Borders’, ‘Howdon Aldi Death Queue’ and ‘Spit of You’. Sam shared the meaning of ‘Spit of You’ being a special song for him and he loves including it in the setlist, tells us a story about him standing up for his little brother and spitting in someone’s face which is where the song stemmed from. Another highlight was ‘I Am the Dream’ which was the second last song of the set and got one of the loudest roars of the night. Ending the set was ‘Seventeen Going Under’, it looked as though Sam really let everything out during that one you could feel the emotion coming from the performance.

From the fan photos I’ve been seeing come through we were the only ones to have Men’s Shed there, similar to when we found Azza Muffin at 3Arena for the ‘Hypersonic Missiles Tour’ in November 2019. Some people that came along have been thinking about attending a show for a couple of years, a few were at some of the last shows before everything shut down during 2020 and some made the decision last minute. Overall, the night felt like it was attended by all walks of life, old and young, cats and dogs it was a great vibe to be a part of and I’m sure Melbourne ended up feeling a little bit of Geordie. I can’t wait for him to come back to Australia but for now, it’s over to Perth so please look after him if you’re headed down to HBF Stadium.
