The return of Paul Gilbert brings excitement to fans as he announces his upcoming album, WROC, set to be released on February 27 by Music Theories Recordings. Along with this announcement, Gilbert has unveiled the music video for his new single, “Go Not Thither.”
WROC stands for “Washington’s Rules of Civility,” a unique concept inspired by George Washington’s etiquette guidelines from centuries ago. Drawing from this source of inspiration, Gilbert has taken a daring step into uncharted territory, exploring unorthodox ideas and pushing creative boundaries unlike ever before. While he is known for his unconventional techniques, such as using a cordless power drill for tremolo picking, this new album marks his return to vocal performances since his last album in 2016.
