Aerosmith and Yungblud collaborate on new EP “One More Time”
Aerosmith has recently made a comeback in the music scene after a hiatus of over twelve years, with their latest release being a collaborative EP with Yungblud titled “One More Time.” This EP, released via Capitol Records, consists of five tracks that are available on various digital platforms as well as limited-edition vinyl, CD, and cassette formats, showcasing a fusion of rock from two different generations. Produced by Matt Schwartz, “One More Time” features four original tracks co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud, with both Steven Tyler and Yungblud sharing vocal duties on each song, complemented by Joe Perry’s distinctive guitar skills.
The highlight of the EP is the track “My Only Angel,” which was initially released on 19 September along with an official music video. The song has garnered significant success on rock charts and playlists, securing the top position on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and maintaining a strong presence on other music airplay charts. “My Only Angel” has also been well-received by radio stations, accumulating over 10,000 spins on more than 75 stations and achieving millions of streams since its release.
In addition to the original track, Aerosmith and Yungblud have revisited “My Only Angel” with a special version called “My Only Angel (Desert Road Version).” This stripped-back rendition of the song features a guest appearance by Steve Martin, who adds his unique banjo playing to enhance the emotional depth of the track. The EP also includes other noteworthy songs like “Problems,” “Wild Woman,” and “A Thousand Days,” each showcasing a different aspect of the collaboration between Aerosmith and Yungblud.
The EP culminates with a reimagined version of Aerosmith’s classic single, “Back In The Saddle,” titled “Back In The Saddle (2025 Mix).” This remix maintains the original essence of the track while infusing it with a modern flair, thanks to Yungblud’s dynamic delivery alongside Tyler’s iconic vocals. The EP’s visual design, created by Joe Foti of Chrome Hearts, complements the music with its unique artwork, marking a significant collaboration between the artists and the luxury brand.
To celebrate the release of “One More Time,” a two-day pop-up event featuring Aerosmith and Yungblud is set to take place at Complex LA. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise and collectibles related to the collaboration, further solidifying the impact of this joint effort in the rock music scene. With the success of their lead single and the innovative reworkings of classic tracks, both Aerosmith and Yungblud are poised for an exciting musical journey ahead, promising memorable rock moments for their fans worldwide.
