Aerosmith and Yungblud team up for new EP “One More Time”
Rock music fans have been buzzing with excitement over the recent collaboration between legendary rock icons Aerosmith and rising star Yungblud. After much anticipation, the talented artists released their collaborative EP titled “One More Time,” featuring not only the previously released hit “My Only Angel” but also three new tracks and a remixed version of Aerosmith’s iconic track “Back in the Saddle.”
This partnership marks Aerosmith’s first piece of new material in 13 years, and the EP has generated a significant amount of buzz with fans eagerly awaiting its release. Despite Yungblud being a more recent addition to the rock scene, his collaboration with the veteran rockers has been met with high praise and excitement from fans of both artists, promising a fresh sound that bridges generations.
While the promotional material leading up to the EP release featured only singer Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry, it was confirmed that all members of Aerosmith, including Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and even retired drummer Joey Kramer, were involved in the project. To fill in for Kramer, Aerosmith enlisted the help of Matt Sorum, known from Velvet Revolver and Guns N’ Roses, to provide the drum work on the EP.
Steven Tyler expressed his excitement about working with Yungblud, referring to the experience as “plugging into pure electricity.” He recounted the immediate connection and vibrancy that permeated the studio, harkening back to the band’s early days and emphasizing the essence of rock ‘n’ roll in creating something great and enduring. Joe Perry added to this sentiment, highlighting the seamless collaboration between Aerosmith and Yungblud and emphasizing the power of music to speak for itself.
Yungblud, too, shared his enthusiasm for working alongside the rock legends, calling it a dream come true and a significant honor. The chemistry between the artists was electric, resulting in a creative outpouring that culminated in a record that showcased the best of both worlds. The young artist expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with his heroes and emphasized the resurgence of rock ‘n’ roll as a force to be reckoned with.
The excitement around this collaboration is palpable, and it comes at a time when the rock and metal scene is seeing a resurgence in popularity. The 2026 GRAMMY® Award nominees reflect this trend, with Yungblud leading the pack alongside established names like Linkin Park and Turnstile. Newcomers like Amyl and The Sniffers and Sleep Token have also garnered recognition, signaling a vibrant and diverse landscape within the genre.
Despite facing health issues that led to the cancellation of his remaining 2025 performances, Yungblud remains committed to his music and is set to embark on a headline tour across North America in 2026. The tour, which has already sold out, promises to be a monumental event for fans, signaling the artist’s resilience and dedication to his craft.
Overall, the collaboration between Aerosmith and Yungblud represents a meeting of two generations of rock music, showcasing the enduring power and appeal of the genre. As fans eagerly await the full release of the EP and the upcoming tour dates, it’s clear that this partnership has struck a chord with listeners, setting the stage for a new chapter in rock history.
