The Lone Bellow reveal upcoming album titled ‘What a Time to Be Alive’

Nashville-based indie-folk band, The Lone Bellow, made headlines with the announcement of their upcoming sixth studio album, “What a Time to Be Alive,” alongside a new music video for their single, “You Were Leaving,” which is set to be released on February 13. The trio – comprised of Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist, and Kanene Pipkin – will hit the road for a tour following the release of the album.

Elmquist spearheaded the production of the new album, opting for a fresh and spontaneous approach. The band members enjoyed a liberating creative process where they would simply sit down at an instrument and play until a song emerged, reminiscent of their youthful days jamming together. Following productive recording sessions in Henderson, Kent., and Muscle Shoals, Ala., the band faced a setback when their van was stolen, taking with it their instruments, gear, and a hard drive containing the recordings for the album. However, with the support of their fans, The Lone Bellow returned to the studio, restarted the process, and successfully completed the songs.
