The annual Toys & Rock charity music festival in Malaga is set to bring the community together once again on December 5th to support hospitalised children. The event, which kicks off at 8:30 pm, encourages attendees to bring new toys and school supplies that will be distributed among children in the oncology ward of Hospital Materno. The Un niño una sonrisa superhero cosplay association will be responsible for delivering these items to the young recipients.

This year’s festival will feature bands like Blackbeties, Brigitte, Living Camboya, and Electroviral (a tribute to Supersubmarina). Over the past 15 years, notable local bands including Fila India, Jarrillo Lata, and Airbag have lent their talents to this charitable cause. While the festival aims to benefit children, only individuals over 18 years of age will be permitted to enter the Trinchera hall.

Antonio Trujillo, the organizer of Toys & Rock and former member of the band D-7, is excited about the upcoming event and hopes for a large turnout. He believes that each year, the festival improves, with more bands expressing interest in participating. Trujillo emphasizes the importance of donating new toys and supplies to children who are in fragile health conditions, emphasizing the significance of bringing joy and comfort to these young patients during the holiday season.

As the event approaches, Trujillo remains optimistic about the impact it will have on the hospitalised children in Malaga, expressing his desire for another memorable Christmas surprise for them. The spirit of giving and camaraderie at Toys & Rock exemplifies the power of music and charity coming together for a meaningful cause. With the support of the community and the dedication of musicians, this festival continues to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
