Mumford & Sons announced as headliner for BST Hyde Park in 2026
Mumford & Sons will be headlining the BST Hyde Park festival on July 4, 2026, marking their return to the Great Oak Stage after a decade since their last iconic performance. This event holds special significance for the band, originating from the grassroots music scene in West London, as it represents a homecoming of sorts. Joining them on stage will be special guest The War On Drugs, with additional artists yet to be announced. Tickets for this highly-anticipated event will go on sale on December 4 at 10 am.
Established in 2008, Mumford & Sons have become synonymous with headlining festivals, dominating music charts, and collaborating with musical legends such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young. Despite their global success, London has always been the band’s stronghold, with Hyde Park holding a particularly special place in their hearts as one of their most beloved stages.
Their forthcoming album, Prizefighter, slated for release on February 13, has been crafted in collaboration with Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio and features a stellar lineup including Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton, and Gigi Perez. The album follows the success of RUSHMERE, their 2025 UK chart-topping album that fueled a sold-out worldwide arena tour. Reflecting on their return to Hyde Park, Mumford & Sons express their excitement, citing the significance of the venue in their musical journey and the nostalgic memories it holds for them.
The 2026 performance promises to be a comprehensive celebration of Mumford & Sons’ discography, featuring beloved classics, modern hits, and brand-new tracks performed for the first time. Attendees can anticipate an unforgettable experience with massive sing-alongs that will echo throughout Hyde Park all summer long.
The War on Drugs, led by Adam Granduciel, have carved a niche for themselves as one of the premier rock bands of the present era, seamlessly blending elements of the underground and mainstream to create a cohesive musical narrative. Celebrated for albums like A Deeper Understanding, which earned them a Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2018, The War on Drugs have continued to captivate audiences with their live releases such as LIVE DRUGS and LIVE DRUGS AGAIN, showcasing their evolution and prowess on stage.
In addition to Mumford & Sons and The War on Drugs, BST Hyde Park 2026 will feature other notable headliners, including country star Garth Brooks, Pitbull, and Lewis Capaldi, with more artists set to be announced in the coming months.
