The Entitled Sons, Sarah Beeny’s family band, reveal upcoming Bristol concert to be their largest one to date
The Entitled Sons, a family rock band consisting of TV presenter Sarah Beeny’s husband and four sons, have recently made waves with the announcement of their upcoming debut album release. Having clinched a spot to perform at Glastonbury in 2023, their journey to stardom has been steadily climbing ever since. Their album, titled ‘No Clue,’ is set to drop on November 28, building anticipation amongst fans and music enthusiasts alike.
The band’s trajectory towards success is evident as they gear up to headline their biggest gig to date at the iconic O2 Academy in Bristol on Valentine’s Day next year. Their overwhelming popularity was demonstrated recently when their show at The Fleece in Bristol sold out. Notably, they supported Somerset rock icons Reef at the Cheese & Grain in Frome just last year, but have now amassed enough of a following to sell out the venue independently.
Comprising Sarah Beeny’s spouse Graham on bass, alongside sons Billy on keyboards, Charlie on vocals, Rafferty on guitar, and the youngest member Laurie on drums, The Entitled Sons embody a true family affair within the music scene. Sarah Beeny, known for her TV series centered around property and renovations, has stood by her family’s venture into music, addressing criticisms of nepotism by embracing their unique circumstances. The band members humorously dubbed themselves “nepo babies,” acknowledging and embracing the privileges afforded to them due to their background.
Reflecting on her sons’ musical endeavor, Sarah shared her perspective on the band’s journey to success, noting the hard work and dedication they’ve put in to make a name for themselves. In a conversation on a podcast hosted by Kate Thornton, Sarah highlighted the importance of seizing opportunities and making the most of them. Drawing a parallel between breaking into the music industry and inheriting a family business, she emphasized the value of recognizing and capitalizing on the chances that come one’s way.
Despite facing criticisms associated with nepotism, Sarah Beeny emphasized that her sons had to prove themselves twice as much to make it in the music industry. She stressed that the audience ultimately decides an artist’s fate, noting that the band’s growing fan base is a testament to their talent and appeal. Embracing their family ties and musical passion, The Entitled Sons are carving out a unique niche for themselves within the competitive music landscape.
