Karma Effect reveals new album, “Cruel Intentions”
The announcement of The Karma Effect’s third studio album, ‘Cruel Intentions,’ comes with the release of their latest single, ‘Waiting On A Miracle.’ The band had previously made waves with their second album, ‘Promised Land,’ which unexpectedly entered the Top 20 Official UK Album Chart. Comprised of members Henry Gottelier (vocals/guitar), Robbie Blake (guitar), Nathan Keevil (bass), Alan Taylor (drums), and Tom Pitt (keyboards), the South London blues rockers are ready to impress with their upcoming album, scheduled for a May 15, 2026 release through Earache Records.
Lead vocalist Henry describes ‘Waiting On A Miracle’ as a vintage rock ‘n’ roll anthem that embodies the essence of classic rock. The song narrates the tale of an underdog who defies the odds, finding triumph and magic in unexpected victories. Drawing inspiration from legendary bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, and Aerosmith, The Karma Effect infuses their unique style into their music, creating a distinct sound that captivates listeners.
The band began recording ‘Cruel Intentions’ at The Hive Rooms, near Gatwick Airport, in July 2025, completing the album in just four weeks. Comprising eleven energetic tracks, or twelve on the bonus edition, the album promises to deliver a fresh sound that builds upon the success of ‘Promised Land.’ Henry expresses the band’s desire to create an immersive and grand experience for their audience, aiming for every performance to feel monumental.
