Sweet Pill releases their latest album titled ‘Still There’s A Glow,’ featuring the single “No Control.” Check it out now!
Sweet Pill made a huge impact on the emo scene in 2022 with their dynamic debut album, Where The Heart Is, catching the attention of even Doja Cat. Now, the band from Philly is back with their highly anticipated second album, Still There’s A Glow. The lead single, “No Control,” is an absolute banger.
Vocalist Zayna Youssef shared some insights into the songwriting process, revealing, “This is the first song we completed for Still There’s A Glow. At that time, I was feeling a bit…indulgent. Taking what I want, whenever I wanted it, and disregarding the world all at the same time. I felt like my self worth was cheap, and that I had no boundaries as a healthy person. I quite literally had no self control.” She goes on to explain, “This song is sort of my way to rock bottom. It is my fancy way of calling myself a pushover, unconfident, and ungrateful. I had this ‘grass is always greener’ kind of mentality and wanted more when I already had it and then some.”
The new album, Still There’s A Glow, was produced by Matt Weber and the music video for “No Control” was directed by Johnny Komar. The tracklist for the album includes songs like “Sunblind,” “Glow,” “Smoke Screen,” and “Letting Go.”
Fans of Sweet Pill can catch them live on their upcoming tour dates in cities like Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Toronto, Boston, and Philadelphia. The tour kicks off on March 13th and wraps up on April 18th with a show at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia.
