Billie Eilish’s Billboard ranking hits new low

Billie Eilish has recently experienced both highs and lows on the Billboard charts. Her latest ‘Live’ EP, released exclusively for Record Store Day 2025, managed to reach the top 10 on the Vinyl Albums chart but saw disappointing sales on the broader Billboard 200 chart.

Featuring live versions of popular tracks like ‘Skinny’ and ‘Wildflower,’ the EP consists of four songs that were originally part of her album, ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft.’ The limited edition vinyl release quickly gained traction among fans, with half of the 20,000 copies produced selling out within the first week in the US.

Despite the success on the Vinyl Albums chart, the EP debuted at a disappointing number 163 on the Billboard 200, with sales just under 10,000 copies. Despite this setback, Eilish secured positions on three other Billboard charts: number 13 on Top Album Sales, 22 on Top Alternative Albums, and 37 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums.

Interestingly, Eilish’s earlier albums like ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft,’ ‘Happier Than Ever,’ and ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ are still outperforming her latest release. ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ even regained the number one spot on both Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums within the same week.

This disparity highlights the limited impact of exclusive physical releases, emphasizing the contrast between the popularity of vinyl records and the performance on streaming and broader sales charts. Despite this, fans continue to show unwavering support for Eilish and her creative endeavors.
