Frontwoman of Evanescence confirms new album release in Spring 2026

Evanescence has officially confirmed their plans to release a new album in the spring of 2026. The announcement came from the band’s frontwoman, Amy Lee, during a recent conversation with Kevin Ryder from KROQ. This forthcoming album will mark the band’s first full studio project since the release of their previous album, The Bitter Truth, back in 2021.

During her discussion with Ryder, Lee hinted at the timing of the album’s release, indicating that it would most likely come out next year. When pressed by Ryder to be more specific, she agreed when he suggested a spring release. “Yeah, let’s say that,” Lee responded. She also mentioned that while she still has a few more lyrics to write, the album is progressing well, and she is very excited about it. Lee shared these updates with KROQ before Evanescence’s performance at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert.

Lee elaborated on their recording process during the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. She revealed that they have been diligently working on new material for a while and are now approaching the final stages of production. With several songs already in progress, Evanescence aims to drop the new album early next year. However, Lee clarified that when she mentions early 2026, she does not mean January. The band has made significant progress, and they are currently refining and perfecting the songs, as well as working on writing lyrics.

In 2025, Evanescence released two singles, “Afterlife” and “Fight Like a Girl.” The former featured in the Netflix series Devil May Cry, while the latter included a collaboration with K.Flay. Additionally, Lee joined forces with Poppy and Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox on “End of You,” which was recognized by Loudwire as the Best Metal Song of 2025.

With the album set for release in spring 2026, fans can expect to hear these new tracks live as Evanescence embarks on their tour next year. The North American leg of the tour is scheduled from early June to early August, with Spiritbox and Nova Twins as opening acts. Following this, the band will head to the UK and Europe in September, accompanied by Poppy and Nova Twins, and K.Flay at select venues.
