PAWS PATAS invites you to make a splash into 2026
PAWS PATAS is inviting everyone to kick off the new year with a refreshing activity of a New Year’s Day swim. The event welcomes all participants, regardless of their swimming expertise, to celebrate the start of the year in a fun and slightly daring manner.
The highlight of this occasion is not only the swim itself but also the creative aspect involved. Participants are encouraged to dress up in unique costumes, with a prize awaiting the most imaginative outfit. This provides an opportunity for individuals to showcase their creativity both in and out of the water.
The New Year’s Day swim offers more than just a chance to take a refreshing dip. Following the swim, refreshments will be available, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for socializing. Additionally, a raffle with exciting prizes is organized, allowing attendees to support a worthy cause while potentially winning big.
For those nursing a New Year’s Eve hangover, a dip in the ocean might be the perfect cure. Registration opens at 10:30 am, with the swim scheduled to start at 12:00 noon, providing ample time for a relaxed morning before taking the plunge into the new year. The event takes place at Playa Venta del Bancal, Mojacar, offering a convenient location and a great viewing spot for spectators.
Participation in the New Year’s Day swim is free, with donations to PAWS-PATAS being gratefully accepted. PAWS-PATAS is a dedicated group of volunteers passionate about animal welfare in the Levante Area, working tirelessly to rescue and care for dogs in need. By joining the swim, participants will not only kick off the year with a refreshing activity but also contribute to providing vulnerable animals with hope for the future.
