In anticipation of their forthcoming and final studio release, Megadeth has unveiled the music video for their latest track, “Let There Be Shred.” Directed by Keith Leman, the video showcases frontman Dave Mustaine engaging in a mixed martial arts showdown, interspersed with live performance footage.

Describing the track, Mustaine expressed, “When Megadeth started, we promised to be fast and furious, a sentiment we boldly declared on our flyers. ‘Let There Be Shred’ embodies that promise – it’s fast, furious, and boasts a catchy chorus that beckons you to unleash your inner air guitarist and headbanger. This video marks our second collaboration with Keith [Leman], who also directed our previous video, ‘I Don’t Care.’ It’s a tribute to my first Sensei, Benny ‘The Jet’ Urquidez, and my Professor, Reggie Almieda. The entire cast and crew were thrilled to witness our stunts come to life. We’ve struck the perfect balance between shredding and delivering an adrenaline-pumping performance.”

Megadeth is planning an eventful start to the New Year with various activities preceding the album launch and their final tour. On Thursday, January 22nd, fans can catch the debut of ‘Megadeth: Behind the Mask’ ahead of the album’s official release on January 23rd. The band will also host an exclusive immersive listening event, ‘Let There Be Shred: The Ultimate Megadeth Immersive Listening Event,’ on January 17th in La Vergne, TN, offering a glimpse into their world, music, stories, and legacy.

Diving into the new year, Megadeth will kick off their multi-year final tour, aptly titled the ‘This Was Our Life World Tour’ in 2026. Starting in Canada in February, the tour will span across various cities before heading to Latin America in the spring. In August, the band is set to support Iron Maiden’s 50th-anniversary ‘Run For Your Lives Tour’ in North America, with Anthrax joining as special guests on select dates.

With the release of “Tipping Point” and the video for “I Don’t Care,” Megadeth has been building anticipation for their upcoming final project. Fans can now pre-order the album and prepare for a thrilling and nostalgic journey through Megadeth’s legendary career.
