Central New York music in 2025: Reflecting on a Syracuse Playlist

Rock enthusiasts have plenty to be excited about as well, with Max Scialdone securing a SAMMY for his latest solo effort and Into Shadow taking home the award for Best Hard Rock band. Additional notable rock acts from Central New York include Cleansed in Embers, Council, The Flashcubes/Half-Cubes, Jeremy Romance, Mad Damage, Maybe Sunday, Porch Couch, See Through Faded, Sent from Beyond, Silverset, The Yagas, and Youth Medium, featuring standout artist Vera Farmiga.

For those with eclectic tastes, Baldwinsville natives Rob McCall and Corey Jordan formed the dynamic duo All Poets and Heroes, garnering a SAMMY in 2023 and winning a notable Battle of the Bands competition in Nashville.
