The official commencement of the winter season was celebrated by JP Gold Gondola Zlatibor, in collaboration with the Zlatibor Tourist Organisation, Trend Marketing agency, and the Golden Panorama complex, through the Winter Opening: Zlatibor Dual Experience event. The ceremony, which signified the start of another winter season on the world’s longest panoramic gondola, was characterized by a joyful ambiance, the premiere of a new video presentation, and the introduction of an innovative experiential concept that promises to enhance Zlatibor’s tourism offerings throughout the winter months.
Early January Events
The winter season on Zlatibor promises exciting experiences for visitors. After the New Year’s celebrations, guests can enjoy “Aperitif in the Heights” on 2 January 2026, featuring bombardini and mulled wine. This event will be repeated on 9 and 16 January for those who couldn’t partake initially. On 3 January, an After Ski Party will entertain guests with doughnuts from 11:00 to 14:00 and lively deep house music by a DJ from 11:00 to 15:00. For music enthusiasts, the following day, 4 January, offers a relaxing atmosphere in the café chill zone from 11:00 to 15:00, paired with music and a delightful selection of wines from Zvonko Bogdan Winery.
A significant milestone for JP Gold Gondola Zlatibor is 6 January, marking the company’s 10th anniversary, followed by a corporate celebration on 11 January, commemorating five years of operation. For those who feel nostalgic for the 1980s and 1990s, a retro party is planned for 10 January, with a DJ spinning the biggest hits of that era, complemented by fritters from 11:00 to 14:00, and a Nordic skiing workshop suitable for all ages. The Serbian New Year will be celebrated in retro style on 17 January, with a DJ playing Ex-Yu rock and synth-pop hits, and hot potato snacks and cold beer. Visitors can also engage in a ski test or a fun Cornhole game. The following day, 18 January, awaits guests with cocktails and Jägermeister in the chill zone.
Retro Party and Special Programs
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Gold Gondola and the Gold Gondola Bar on Tornik will host a prize game for visitors to participate in. The game offers participants the chance to win valuable prizes like gondola ride tickets or products from the Gondola Shop. To take part, visitors need to take a photo in front of the themed Gondolina photo frame and tag @gold.gondola on social media.
February: Love and Romantic Experiences
In February, couples celebrating Valentine’s Day can enjoy a themed DJ party and take charming pictures at two photo corners for lasting memories. The Sretenje holiday will be celebrated with a daytime matinee in front of the Gold Gondola Showroom, continuing through 15 February. More romantic events are planned for the month, promising unique experiences for visitors.
The Gold Gondola operates from 09:00 to 15:00 during the winter season, with the last ride from Tornik at 16:00. A new loyalty program is in the works, which will be accessible through a mobile app and offer regular guests a variety of benefits.
