The Burrellos debut new track ‘No Footprints in the Snow’

Dunfermline rock band The Burrellos are celebrating the holiday season with the release of their latest single ‘No Footprints in the Snow.’ The song tells the story of a cat that goes missing in the winter but has a happy ending, resonating with many animal and pet lovers.

Lead singer and songwriter Brian Burrell shared that the inspiration behind the song came from a real-life event he experienced while living in the countryside in Perthshire. The band’s music has been well-received by fans and critics alike, with ‘No Footprints in the Snow’ gaining positive reviews since its release.

The Burrellos originated in Dunfermline, a union of retired Brian and Miguel De Sousa, a support worker of Portuguese and American descent. Their musical journey began with the release of ‘No More War’ on platforms like YouTube and Spotify, followed by ‘Money.’ Currently a six-member ensemble, the band comprises Brian on lead guitar and vocals, Miguel on bass, rhythm guitars, and keyboards, Paul Sinclair on keyboards and photography, Dom Hardy on drums and production, and Nick Webb and Stewart Docherty contributing backing vocals.

Their music video for ‘Carousel’ captured the band’s lighthearted antics at the fairground and is followed by the success of ‘No Footprints in the Snow.’ Recorded at Gracenote Studios in Dunfermline, the band has taken a philanthropic approach by donating proceeds from ‘No More War’ to charities such as UNICEF and Children in Need.

Brian’s music journey includes stints in various bands like Benarty with accordionist Jock Mullen and the Tree Climbers ceilidh band, performing at weddings and other events. He also worked as a roadie for John Watt and played solo gigs in pubs and clubs. The band aspires to perform live in 2026, aiming to reach a wider audience with their music.
