Beaver Dam Amphitheater continues to thrive
As Beaver Dam Amphitheater gears up for its 12th year, the venue has become a favored tour stop for numerous renowned entertainers. It might come as a surprise to many that a small town with a population of 3,500 could attract such top-tier artists. Heath Eric, the president and CEO of The Eric Group, the venue’s exclusive promoter, was not taken aback by this transformation. He had foreseen the success, attributing it to the dedication of everyone involved in its establishment.
“From my perspective, the growth has unfolded as we had anticipated. It all stemmed from that pivotal moment in May of 2018 when we had a sold-out show featuring John Prine and Tyler Childers. That experience sparked a realization that we possessed a rare and unique energy, and we understood the responsibility of preserving that magic. We collaborated closely with the city, the tourism team, and our own team. By ‘we,’ I don’t merely refer to The Eric Group but also the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission and the City of Beaver Dam. Together, we laid the foundation and developed what we like to call a ‘Dam good time’ to elevate our amphitheater to where it stands today, entering our 12th and most significant season to date.”
Eric emphasized the pivotal role played by Beaver Dam Mayor Paul Sandefur in driving the venue’s achievements. “If every locality boasted a leader of Mayor Paul Sandefur’s caliber, we would all be in a better place. His unwavering dedication to progress is truly commendable. Every decision is made with foresight and understanding, taking into account the larger vision at play. This foresight is fundamental – we must be aligned on the ultimate goals to achieve success.”
The community’s enthusiasm, along with the collaborative spirit of all stakeholders, has been central to the growth of the Beaver Dam Amphitheater. The journey towards becoming a premier entertainment destination was marked by strategic planning and a shared commitment to maximizing the venue’s potential. The concert featuring John Prine and Tyler Childers served as a turning point, instilling confidence that the amphitheater was destined for greatness. Since then, continuous efforts and strong partnerships have propelled the venue forward, resulting in an unparalleled lineup for the upcoming season.
Mayor Sandefur’s resolute leadership has been instrumental in shaping the vision for the amphitheater and driving its success. His proactive approach and ability to garner widespread support have been vital in overcoming challenges and realizing the venue’s potential. The collaborative efforts of the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, the City of Beaver Dam, and The Eric Group have ensured that the amphitheater continues to thrive as a cultural gem in the community. Moving forward into its 12th season, the Beaver Dam Amphitheater stands as a testament to the power of collective vision and unwavering dedication.
