1K Phew Featured as January Cover Story by CCM Magazine
CCM Magazine has announced its January cover story featuring Reach Records artist 1K Phew. The Atlanta-based rapper, known for blending trap beats with faith-based lyrics, recently sat down with the magazine for a comprehensive interview and exclusive in-studio performances that will be available on CCM’s YouTube channel and website.
“Being on the cover of CCM Magazine is surreal,” said 1K Phew. “This moment feels like a dream from God. It’s not just about me; it’s about spreading joy, faith, and unity. I want people to be uplifted, feel genuine emotions, and realize that the celebration never ends when you walk with purpose. I am thankful for this opportunity and can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created. Happy Phew Year, everyone!”
Throughout January, CCM will release a range of exclusive content featuring 1K Phew. This includes a long-form cover story and interview set to be released on January 7, an exclusive performance available on the magazine’s YouTube channel and website on January 9, and additional bonus content to be unveiled later in the month.
Logan Sekulow, CCM’s Co-Editor, expressed the magazine’s commitment to highlighting distinct voices in the music industry. “When we come across a truly unique artist at CCM Magazine, our aim is to provide audiences with meaningful ways to engage with their artistry,” said Sekulow. “Our cover stories showcase established icons, rising stars, and innovative creators who deserve wider recognition. 1K Phew’s presence in the Christian hip-hop scene is undeniable, and we believe his music should transcend genres within the Christian music sphere. His authenticity, candor, and humor shine through in his music, creating a deeply human connection. We are thrilled to feature 1K Phew as our first hip-hop and gospel rap cover artist since the magazine’s relaunch.”
Amanda Sekulow, CCM’s Co-Editor, reflected on the energetic and vibrant atmosphere during the cover shoot with 1K Phew. “The shoot felt like the aftermath of an incredible party – confetti strewn across the floor, party favors everywhere, and yet 1K Phew managed to maintain the high energy,” said Sekulow. “That energy became the central theme of the cover story. 1K Phew brings an infectious sense of joy and honesty to every room he enters, and his live performance, particularly of ‘Move It,’ was electrifying. With the resurgence of the song in collaboration with Forrest Frank, this cover story encapsulates a celebration you won’t soon forget.”
After undergoing a change in ownership, CCM Magazine was relaunched in August 2025, with Christian music icon Steven Curtis Chapman gracing the cover. The subsequent cover stories featured Megan Woods, Third Day, Katy Nichole, and Danny Gokey, each showcasing the diverse talent within the Christian music industry.
