Teenage Bottlerocket Reveals New EP “The Invisible Man”
Teenage Bottlerocket, the well-known pop-punk band, has recently revealed details about their upcoming EP, The Invisible Man, set to be released on March 6. This new EP, a successor to the successful album Ready To Roll from 2025, promises to bring fans a fresh dose of energetic punk rock recorded during the same sessions that birthed their acclaimed LP last year.
Fans can look forward to getting their hands on The Invisible Man in various versions of 7” vinyl, including Bone, Violet, and Black options, with a special Magenta edition reserved for the band’s 2026 tour. The EP’s cover art is crafted by the band’s long-time collaborator Oscar Puig, whose unique visual style is also featured on their merchandise, like T-shirts, skateboard decks, patches, and stickers.
Displaying the band’s trademark mix of catchy hooks and playful narratives, The Invisible Man showcases the talents of Teenage Bottlerocket’s three songwriters. Bassist Miguel Chen delves into the theme of seeking solitude amidst life’s chaos in the title track while drawing inspiration from mid-tempo new wave sounds. Meanwhile, guitarist Ray Carlisle contributes two tracks, including the EP’s final song City At Night, previously available as a limited 7” and digital single. And another track from Carlisle, You Made Me Get Called a Poser, is inspired by a real-life incident involving his child.
The EP is completed by guitarist Kody Templeman’s Pembrey’s Face, which is influenced by horror fiction and the Hannibal Lecter films based on Thomas Harris’ novels. Cinematic and literary references have been a consistent element in Teenage Bottler-Eackets’ music, adding depth to their energetic and melodic sound.
Originating in Laramie, Wyoming, in 2000 by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle after their previous band Homeless Wonders disbanded, Teenage Bottlerocket established themselves as prominenstars in the “Ramones-core” punk scene. With influences from The Lillingtons, Green Day, and others, the band has released numerous albums and toured extensively, sharing stages with iconic bands like NOFX and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Throughout their career, the band has consistently drawn from cinematic influences, contributing to their unique sound and setting them apart in the punk rock scene. With a diverse array of tracks on The Invisible Man, Teenage Bottlerocket continues to captivate audiences with their infectious energy and lyrical storytelling.
