Pooh Shiesty releases first single “FDO” after prison release
Pooh Shiesty has recently released his first single since being released from prison in October, titled “FDO,” produced by TP808. In this new track, the Memphis-based rapper pays tribute to several of his contemporaries, including Lil Wayne, former collaborator Lil Durk, and Kendrick Lamar.
Accompanying the release of the single, Pooh Shiesty also dropped a music video for “FDO.” Directed by Cotto0verdidit, the video features a motivational message from Shiesty’s mother and captures moments from his release from prison. Following the release of his album “Shiesty Season” in 2021, Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., found himself in legal trouble after an altercation at a Miami nightclub. Prior to this incident, he was already facing charges related to a 2020 case where he and two associates were accused of shooting and robbing two individuals. Pooh Shiesty was indicted on federal charges that included conspiracy to possess firearms for violent crimes, Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy, and discharging a firearm in connection with a violent offense. Ultimately, he pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess a firearm and received a five-year prison sentence, serving three years after receiving credit for time served for the firearm conspiracy charge.
