Independent Venue Week 2026 has announced Nova Twins, Brògeal, and Eve Goodman as ambassadors for the event. This celebration of the UK’s live music spaces has been running since 2013 and will take place this year from January 26 to February 1. With 236 venues participating, this event aims to host exclusive shows around the country at a traditionally quiet time for independent venues.

Nova Twins, the 2026 Artist Ambassadors for Independent Venue Week, will be performing at the 300-capacity Amersham Arms on January 27, returning to their South London roots. This duo, comprised of Amy Love and Georgia South, released their third album ‘Parasites & Butterflies’ last year and have expressed their excitement to be part of this event. They have emphasized the importance of celebrating independent venues and maintaining the sense of community within the music industry.

Brògeal, a Falkirk folk-punk band, will represent Scotland as the ambassadors for 2026 and will be performing at MacArts in Galashiels on January 30 and The Venue in Dumfries on January 31. The shows will also feature support from The Rooks. On the other hand, singer-songwriter Eve Goodman has been named the Welsh ambassador and will be performing at various locations including Mold’s Caffi Isa, Swansea’s Tŷ Tawe, and Pembroke’s Cwtch Coffee.

Sybil Bell, the founder and CEO of Independent Venue Week, expressed her excitement about the lineup of artist ambassadors and shows planned for the event. She highlighted the importance of artists such as Nova Twins, Brògeal, and Eve Goodman performing in smaller music-loving towns, showcasing the diversity and impact of independent venues across the UK. Since its inception, Independent Venue Week has sold over one million tickets, providing a much-needed boost to the struggling live music economy.

The event aims to celebrate the essence of independent venues and the pivotal role they play in nurturing emerging talent, fostering community spirit, and showcasing diverse music scenes. This year’s lineup promises to be another successful celebration of live music and independent venues, with artists like Nova Twins, Brògeal, and Eve Goodman leading the charge in supporting and promoting these vital spaces in the UK’s music ecosystem.
