All That Remains reveals Ken Susi as their new guitarist
All That Remains made an exciting announcement, revealing that renowned guitarist Ken Susi, formerly of Unearth and As I Lay Dying, has joined the band. Susi steps in to fill the shoes of Jason Richardson, who departed from the group in July 2025. This news comes as the band gears up to hit the road for an upcoming tour.
Fans caught wind of the band’s new addition over the weekend when All That Remains posted a brief video featuring a guitarist in action, prompting speculation among followers that Susi was the mystery musician. Susi brings a wealth of experience to the table, having been a member of Unearth for over two decades, contributing to seven studio albums during his tenure from 1998 to 2023. He also had a brief stint with As I Lay Dying from 2022 to 2024, making an appearance on their 2024 album “Through Storms Ahead” before the band underwent significant changes.
Susi’s arrival marks a new chapter for All That Remains as they move forward with their musical journey. He steps into the role previously occupied by Richardson, who joined the band following the tragic passing of guitarist Oli Herbert in 2018. Susi is set to make his live debut with the group as they hit the road later this spring, accompanied by support acts Born of Osiris and Dead Eyes.
In a joint statement released on Monday, All That Remains and Susi expressed their enthusiasm for this new chapter:
“I am truly honored to be the newest addition to All That Remains as their guitarist. My history with this band goes all the way back to the late ’90s when I first crossed paths with Mike, Oli, and Phil at local underground shows in Western Massachusetts. Those early encounters played a significant role in shaping my musical journey, and to now reunite with them feels like coming full circle.
I also carry a deep sense of honor in stepping into the shoes of my dear friend Oli Herbert. Oli was not only an exceptional musician but also a close companion whose impact and presence will always be deeply felt. While I can never truly replace him, I strive to embody his spirit every time I pick up the guitar.
After years of camaraderie, shared experiences, and unwavering support, it means the world to me to take the stage with this band and contribute to a project that resonates with me on a profound level. I eagerly anticipate hitting the road and sharing our collective efforts with all of our fans. See you out there.”
With Susi on board, All That Remains is poised to deliver electrifying performances and continue to captivate audiences with their unique blend of metal. Be sure to catch them live as they embark on their upcoming tour.
