Howard Jones and Adam D have completed their debut album with their new band, Burn Eternal.

Metalcore fans have exciting news to look forward to, as Howard Jones is stepping up his game on multiple fronts. In a recent TotalRock “Louder” interview, Adam Dutkiewicz, the guitarist of Killswitch Engage, revealed that the highly anticipated debut album from Burn Eternal, his joint project with Jones, has been officially completed.

“It’s all set to go. There’s no definitive release date yet, but it’s completed. It’s done,” Dutkiewicz explained to host Ore Bihovsky. The duo is currently in discussions with labels to finalize the release of the album.

Burn Eternal is a collaborative effort between Dutkiewicz and Jones, featuring a sound deeply rooted in their shared Killswitch Engage heritage. “It sounds a bit like Killswitch, obviously, because I’m a songwriter for Killswitch. Yeah, it sounds like me and Howard,” Dutkiewicz elaborated. The project has been in the works for over two years, with the final mix being finished in December 2024.

Jones first departed from Killswitch Engage in 2012 after being the band’s lead singer for nearly a decade. While he has been involved in smaller projects since then, Burn Eternal represents his significant collaboration with Dutkiewicz following his exit from the band.

However, Burn Eternal is not the only iron in Jones’ fire. Jones has recently announced that he is working on a solo album, hitting the studio with Josh Gilbert, the producer of Spiritbox, and Joseph McQueen, the engineer for As I Lay Dying and Bullet For My Valentine. Jones shared a snapshot with his collaborators, captioning it:

“I’m back with the dream team of Josh and Joseph, my solo album recording has officially begun. We have talked about this for a couple of years, thrilled to finally get started. Lots to share with several projects over the next few months, thank you to everyone who has kept up with this crazy ride. Here we go!”

Having completed Burn Eternal and commenced work on a solo project, Howard Jones is currently juggling at least two major endeavors, marking a fruitful and thrilling time for fans of his vocals and songwriting. Expect more updates on release dates and additional projects in the foreseeable future.
