TOE to mark 25 years with European spring tour
The celebrated instrumental rock band toe is gearing up to mark their 25th anniversary with a spring tour in Europe. Titled Loneliness Will Shine, the tour comprises eight shows and is set to kick off on 10 April in the United Kingdom. The band’s upcoming performances will also include stops in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark, and Germany. Notably, shows in Amsterdam and Paris have already sold out, while concerts in London and Berlin have been relocated to larger venues to accommodate the growing demand.
Consisting of guitarists Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu, drummer Kashikura Takashi, and bassist Yamane Satoshi, toe is known for its distinctive blend of post-rock and math rock. Their music features dynamic drumming and melodic guitar work, captivating audiences worldwide since their formation in 2000. Over the years, the band has released four studio albums, with their latest offering, Now I See the Light, released in 2024. In addition to their studio albums, toe has released various EPs, a live album, a split release, a remix album, and a compilation album. In 2021, they even contributed a track to the soundtrack of the anime series Sonny Boy, showcasing the band’s versatility and creative range.
Touring has been a significant part of toe’s journey, with the band having previously visited Europe in 2013 and 2016.
