Snail Mail reveals upcoming album ‘Ricochet’
Snail Mail is set to release her highly anticipated third studio album, Ricochet, on March 27 through Matador Records. This album marks her first release in five years, following the successful 2021 album, Valentine. Lindsey Jordan, the creative force behind Snail Mail, returns with a renewed sense of introspection and maturity, delving into themes of time and impermanence rather than solely focusing on romantic relationships and heartbreak.
The lead single from the album, titled “Dead End,” showcases Snail Mail’s signature alt-rock sound. The track reflects on the mundane yet intense experiences of suburban adolescence, maintaining a raw and unfiltered edge. Layered with distorted guitar and a compelling lead melody, “Dead End” builds up tension gradually before breaking into a soaring, emotional refrain that is sure to resonate with listeners. To support the album, Snail Mail will embark on a major North American tour, commencing on April 10 in Milwaukee and including notable stops in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
