Armbruster reveals upcoming album ‘Half My House’ with first single “King Under The River” now available to listen.

Troy Armbruster, a talented composer from Troy, New York, is known for his work with the indie folk group Blue Ranger, as well as his solo endeavors creating ethereal instrumental music. His previous album, Can I Sit Here, garnered attention for its unique sound and artistry, and now Armbruster is set to release a new LP titled Half My House.

For Half My House, Armbruster and his bandmates from Blue Ranger embarked on a creative retreat at the Elizabeth Murray farmhouse in Granville, New York. During their time there, they delved into reimagining traditional Irish folk songs that had a significant influence on Armbruster during his upbringing. Utilizing a variety of instruments including fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki, guitar, piano, and bass, they set out to deconstruct and breathe new life into these timeless tunes.

Although the majority of the tracks on Half My House are reflective and meditative interpretations of classic Irish folk melodies, the lead single “King Under The Original” stands out as one of the album’s few original compositions. The track veers away from the expected sound of Irish folk music, showcasing Armbruster’s unique perspective and creativity in blending different musical elements.
