81-year-old Sir Rod Stewart and his 54-year-old wife, Penny Lancaster, have made their 18th-century Grade II listed manor their home since 2013. The rockstar and his wife, who tied the knot in 2007, have been quite private about their living space, but recently, Sir Rod shared a rare glimpse of a corner of their house in a video message.

In the Instagram video posted on 25 January, Sir Rod was seen addressing US President Donald Trump’s comments about Nato troops in Afghanistan. Standing in front of an ornate background inside his house, the singer shared his thoughts on the matter. The wallpapered corner featured vintage candelabras mounted on each side of a golden-framed artwork above a fireplace.

As Sir Rod moved out of the frame, two framed photographs on the mantel behind him came into focus. Although the pictures were not clear, they seemed to include the rockstar and members of his family, possibly his children.

The couple’s main residence, Durrington House, located on the Hertfordshire-Essex border, underwent a three-year renovation after they purchased it over a decade ago for £4.6 million. The manor features 10 bedrooms, sprawling gardens, and Georgian-inspired decor. The couple occasionally shares glimpses of their mansion on social media, showcasing the exquisite view with boxwood hedges, marble statues, and a central fountain through a window.

During an appearance on Loose Women, Penny shared that the living room walls of their mansion are adorned with artwork in gilded gold frames. Sir Rod, a father of eight children, has had his fair share of family life. He has children from previous relationships and marriages, welcoming daughters and sons with his ex-girlfriends and ex-wives.

With his current wife Penny, whom he has been married to for close to twenty years, Sir Rod shares two sons, Alastair and Aiden. When asked about the secret to their lasting marriage, Penny emphasized the importance of continual effort, daily consideration, and paying attention to each other. The couple enjoys dressing up for nights out, having intimate moments together before meeting friends, and taking “date coffees” or “date dog walks” to connect without distractions.

In summary, Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster have transformed their 18th-century manor into a cozy and elegant home where they cherish moments with their blended family. Their love story reflects dedication, continuous effort, and a mutual appreciation for spending quality time together.
