Melissa Etheridge announces upcoming album ‘Rise’
Melissa Etheridge is gearing up to release her latest album, “Rise,” on March 27th, marking her return to the studio after a five-year hiatus. The album, recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, was co-produced by Etheridge herself and Grammy-winning producer Shooter Jennings. It features 11 new songs all co-written by Etheridge, including a duet with Chris Stapleton. To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Etheridge recently dropped her single “Don’t You Want a Woman.”
Expressing his excitement about working with Etheridge, Jennings shared in a press release how working with her was one of the highlights of his career. The tour is scheduled to kick off on March 26th at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit, with stops in various cities, including Vermont, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Texas, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and more.
