Papa Roach premieres new song in Nashville, announces release date
Papa Roach unveiled a brand new track titled “Wake Up Calling” through a surprise acoustic performance at Whiskey Jam in Nashville on January 19. The band also shared that the full version of the song would be released on January 28 at 12 am ET, exciting fans around the world.
During the acoustic set at the Nashville venue owned by country star Dierks Bentley, Papa Roach not only performed “Wake Up Calling” but also treated the audience to stripped-down versions of their popular hits “Scars” and “Last Resort,” showcasing their versatility as artists.
“Wake Up Calling” marks the band’s third new release since 2022, following the singles “Even If It Kills Me” and “Braindead,” the latter featuring guest vocals from Toby Morse of H20. Their eleventh studio album, Ego Trip, was independently released in April 2022 under their own label, New Noize.
In 2025, Papa Roach commemorated the 25th anniversary of their breakout album, Infest, with special performances worldwide. Notably, they surprised fans with a memorable appearance in Vegas alongside Carrie Underwood, where they performed a heartfelt rendition of “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)” as well as the iconic “Last Resort.”
