Luxury Home Tour in East Cooper showcases custom properties
The inaugural East Cooper Luxury Home Tour, organized by the Charleston Home Builders Association and Charleston Home and Design, is set to take place on Friday, January 30th, offering participants access to seven custom homes spread throughout the region. Among the featured properties, tour-goers will have the opportunity to explore four residences in Mount Pleasant, two homes on Isle of Palms, and one exquisite property on Sullivan’s Island. Tickets for the event are priced at $50, allowing attendees to visit each home for an average cost of approximately $7.
Tim Barkley, from Charleston Home and Design Magazine, emphasized that individuals often attend home tours in search of inspiration and design ideas for their own homes. Reflecting on his experience from 16 years ago when he was preparing to build his house, Barkley stated, “When we were getting ready to build our house 16 years ago, we went on as many tours as we could because you’re going to see amazing ideas that you can steal and put them in your own home.”
One of the standout properties on the tour is located at 3209 Marshall Boulevard on Sullivan’s Island, boasting captivating 180-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean. This oceanfront residence, situated on Breach Inlet, is currently listed for sale at $16 million. The tour will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 30th, allowing attendees the flexibility to visit the homes at their own pace.
Ticket holders will need to begin their tour by picking up their tour packets at Steven Shell Living. Additionally, the home tour is incorporated into the larger Charleston Home Design Show, scheduled to take place from Friday, January 30th to Sunday, February 1st at Patriot’s Point in Mount Pleasant. As part of the event, all home tour ticket holders are granted access to a networking party within the Charleston Home Design Show on the evening of Friday, January 30th.
The Charleston Home Design Show offers attendees free parking throughout the weekend and showcases two celebrity-inspired designer rooms – one designed in the likeness of Darius Rucker and the other inspired by Tom Cruise. Visitors also have the opportunity to sign up for complimentary design consultations with interior designers or architects. While admission to the show is free until 6 p.m. on Friday, tickets for Saturday and Sunday are priced at $5.
