Arctangent adds 45+ acts to this year’s festival lineup
The ArcTanGent Festival is back this summer with an exciting lineup of over 45 new acts announced for the event. Set to take place from August 19th to 22nd at Fernhill Farm near Bristol, this festival has gained global acclaim for its diverse musical offerings ranging from rock, metal, doom, psych, math rock, post-rock, folk-rock, avant-garde, and more. One of the headline acts is the recently reunited Arcane Roots who debuted new music after a hiatus of seven years. They will also be performing at the 2000trees Festival and ArcTanGent Festival, marking their return in a significant way.
Another highlight on the lineup is Manchester’s experimental rock band Maruja, who first appeared at ATG in 2014 as a new band and are now making a comeback as one of the most buzzed-about acts in the country. Also on the bill are Nordic Giants, known for their mesmerizing post-rock sounds paired with captivating visuals. The lineup further includes US shoe-gaze rock band Nothing, Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør in a UK exclusive performance, Jamie Lenman, Master Boot Record, London’s math-core band Pupil Slicer, and Brazilian avant-garde metal band Papanugu.
Organizer James Scarlett expressed his excitement about the lineup saying, “ArcTanGent 2026 is officially our best-selling edition of the festival by a country mile, and we are absolutely buzzing to be adding another huge wave of artists for the festival.” He emphasized the significance of having artists like Eivør, Nothing, and Master Boot Record, who will be making their festival debut. Scarlett noted the pleasure in seeing returning artists like Marujo and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, highlighting their growth and success since their previous performances.
The festival already boasts an impressive lineup with headliners Chelsea Wolfe, Primus, and Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas set to take the main stage. Other notable acts include Igorrr, Sikth, Napalm Death, Pertubator, High On Fire, Chat Pile, Alcest, Oathbreaker, Agent Fresco, TTNG, Svalbard, Conjurer, Heck, Alpha Male Tea Party, and many more.
Joining the newly announced acts are Zu, Scorpion Milk, Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, SOM, Jamie Lenman, Papangu, and God Alone, among others. These artists will be adding to the festival’s already stacked lineup, promising a weekend of diverse and electrifying performances for music enthusiasts from all over. With a blend of established names and emerging talents, the ArcTanGent Festival continues to solidify its reputation as a must-attend event for music lovers looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.
