Poison is a renowned hard rock and glam metal band, famous for hits like “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Nothin’ But a Good Time,” and the chart-topping “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” The band, consisting of Michaels, Rockett, DeVille, and Dall, has a history of reuniting for tours and last released a new album in 2007.
Although best known as the lead singer of Poison, Michaels has built a successful solo career and has also appeared on reality TV shows such as “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels,” “Bret Michaels Rock My RV,” and “Celebrity Apprentice.” He has performed regularly in Central New York, with past appearances at the New York State Fair in 2023 and the Turning Stone Resort Casino in 2024.
As Michaels looks toward the future, he has more than a dozen solo concerts scheduled for 2026, including a show in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on Feb. 6. Despite a health scare related to diabetes and low blood sugar in July, he remains committed to his fans and is adjusting his touring schedule accordingly.
Rockett, on the other hand, is planning to tour with his band, Rockett Mafia, and has announced that he will perform Poison’s debut album in its entirety at each show this year. Expressing optimism about the band’s future, he hopes Poison can resolve their differences and come together for a “41st-anniversary tour” in the upcoming year.
As discussions about a potential reunion tour continue, Poison fans eagerly await news of any developments within the band. While debates and negotiations may arise, the camaraderie among the members remains strong, fueled by a shared history and mutual respect cultivated over 45 years. Michaels’ reassurances that the issues lie in scheduling and logistics rather than personal conflicts emphasize the band’s unwavering friendship and dedication to their music. With hopes set on commemorating their milestone anniversary in style, the anticipation for a potential reunion tour remains high among both band members and fans alike.
