Perrock charity rock festival to take place in Fuengirola
The beloved Perrock Festival, now in its 13th year, is set to take place in Fuengirola on Sunday, February 8, offering a full day of thrilling rock music, community bonding, and much-needed aid for local dog charities.
Hosted by the Asociación Perrock, this annual charitable event will convert the Recinto Ferial into a vivacious rock’n’roll center for families to enjoy at the Caseta Diana, Caseta de los Andaluces, and the outdoor areas surrounding them. Starting at 11am and lasting until around 8pm, festival-goers will be treated to live performances on two stages, all while making valuable contributions to animal welfare causes. Every euro collected, in addition to donations of various items like food, blankets, carriers, and vaccines, will be channeled directly to shelters that assist homeless and forsaken dogs throughout the Costa del Sol region.
The musical entertainment begins at noon with Rock Revival, evoking a sense of nostalgia, followed by The 80ers at 1pm, delivering a throwback to the ’80s. At 2pm, Tributo Rock Band will grace the scene, setting the stage for The Owlers’ performance at 3pm. The tempo escalates at 4pm with Porn – an homage to Korn, bringing the energy of nu-metal – and the day culminates with The Killer Rockets’ sensational show at 6pm.
In addition to the electric atmosphere of rock music, the festival boasts plenty of options to keep everyone satisfied and well-fed. Refreshing beverages will be served at the bars, and food stalls will offer a variety of options, including vegetarian dishes. One of the highlights of the event is the extensive raffle featuring enticing prizes such as musical instruments, restaurant dinners, sunglasses, tattoo sessions, vouchers, premium drinks, accessories, and more. This raffle ensures that every participant has the chance to win while supporting the noble cause.
Entrance to the festival is a mere donation of €1 or a bag of dry dog food, which makes it affordable for rock enthusiasts and animal advocates alike. Over the years, this event has become a cherished local tradition, supported by the Fuengirola City Council and hailed for its positive impact on the community’s four-legged inhabitants. Embrace this uplifting Sunday of rock ‘n’ roll and goodwill on February 8, and be part of something truly special.
