Hayley Williams, the frontwoman of Paramore, has recently announced the creation of a new project known as Power Snatch, alongside producer Daniel James. The unexpected debut of their three-song EP, titled “EP 1” on Bandcamp immediately following the 2026 Grammy Awards has taken the music industry by storm.

While Paramore is currently on a break, fans of Williams can expect new and exciting content from Power Snatch. The EP includes tracks such as “DMs,” “Duh,” and “Hole in the Ceiling.” Each song brings a unique sound and style to the table, showcasing Williams’ versatility as an artist.

The first track, “DMs,” explores themes of moving on from a past relationship with a distorted, dissonant alt-rock sound that captivates listeners. Williams ponders, “Is it wrong for me to hold you hostage in my mind?” The song delves into the aftermath of a breakup, with emotional lyrics like, “DM me your goodbyes, don’t got your number.”

“Duh” pays homage to Williams’ hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, reflecting on memories and experiences that have shaped her life. The lyrics, “I think about Fair Street like a dad daydreams about football days,” evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection to her roots.

Meanwhile, “Hole in the Ceiling,” the final track of the EP, expresses a clear message of moving forward and letting go of past relationships. Williams confidently states, “I could not be less interested, go and fall in love again,” conveying a sense of empowerment and self-assurance.

Power Snatch has also released a single titled “Assignment” on Spotify, featuring spoken word elements backed by punk rock instrumentals. The duo’s collaboration showcases their creative synergy and ability to push musical boundaries.

For fans eager to listen to “EP 1,” the album is available on powersnatch.bandcamp.com/album/ep1. Williams’ surprise releases have become somewhat of a trademark for the artist, as demonstrated by her leak of 17 solo tracks on her website and the subsequent release of her album “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” in August. The title track of the album pays tribute to Nashville, incorporating elements of the city’s vibrant music scene and culture.

As Williams continues to explore new musical endeavors outside of Paramore, Power Snatch promises to deliver innovative and compelling content that resonates with listeners. The EP “EP 1” sets the stage for an exciting chapter in Williams’ career, highlighting her growth and evolution as an artist. Stay tuned for more updates and releases from Power Snatch as they pave the way for a fresh and dynamic sound in the music industry.
