This summer, the multi-award-winning alt-metal band Mastodon from Atlanta is embarking on a European/UK tour that kicks off on June 3rd. The tour will include various headlining shows and festival dates across the continent. Joining them on selected dates is English nu-metalcore band Loathe who will bring their unique energy to the stage. Tickets for this exciting event will be available for purchase on February 6th starting at 11 AM CET.

The tour announcement follows the recent departure and tragic passing of the founding lead guitarist Brent Hinds. Canadian guitarist and songwriter Nick Johnston has stepped into the role previously held by Hinds. Johnston’s talent is evident as he has been actively contributing to the writing and recording of Mastodon’s upcoming album. This new album, yet to be titled, will follow their 2021 Grammy-nominated double album, “Hushed and Grim.”

Mastodon will begin and end the European/UK tour with performances at both editions of the Sick New World festival. Alongside the tour dates, fans can look forward to “Floods of Triton,” a collaboration between Mastodon and Lamb of God.

The band’s album “Hushed and Grim” is already available on Reprise Records for their fans’ enjoyment. Fans can catch Mastodon at various stops on their tour, including festivals like Rock am Ring in Nürburg, Germany, and Rock im Park in Nürnberg, Germany. Other notable stops include performances at Hellfest in Clisson, France, and the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.

Mastodon’s tour will take them across several European countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Portugal, among others. The band’s journey will culminate in Fort Worth, Texas, where they will conclude their tour at the Sick New World Texas festival.

In conclusion, this summer promises to be an exciting one for fans of alt-metal as Mastodon’s European/UK tour offers a unique blend of headlining shows and festival performances. With the addition of Loathe to their lineup, fans can expect an unforgettable and dynamic live experience. Stay tuned for Mastodon’s upcoming performances as they showcase their new material and established hits on stages across Europe and the UK.
