Staind to celebrate 25th anniversary of ‘Break the Cycle’ with tour
Staind has announced their plans for an extensive tour to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their acclaimed album, Break The Cycle. The band will embark on a 25-date tour with Seether as direct support, joined by Hoobastank and Hinder as special guests. This tour promises to bring together four major players in modern rock music for an unforgettable series of shows starting in September and spanning across major venues in the U.S. and Canada before concluding in Dallas, TX.
The tour announcement comes as a celebration of Staind’s iconic album, Break The Cycle, which solidified their status as a powerhouse in the rock genre. Released in 2001, the album achieved five-times platinum certification and delivered the chart-topping hit “It’s Been Awhile,” which spent an impressive 20 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Staind’s impressive discography includes a string of hits like “Fade,” “For You,” “Prince to Pay,” “So Far Away,” and “Right Here.” After taking a break in 2014, the band reunited in 2019 for a series of memorable festival appearances and a hometown reunion show that was captured on their album, Live: It’s Been Awhile.
Reflecting on the milestone, founding member Aaron Lewis expressed his excitement for the tour, calling it a special opportunity to connect with fans who have supported the band over the years. Guitarist Mike Mushok reminisced about the album’s impact on their career, highlighting the significance of celebrating a key moment in Staind’s musical journey alongside fans and friends.
Tickets for the Break The Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour will be available through pre-sales starting on Wednesday, February 4, with general on-sale commencing on Friday, February 6. Citi cardmembers will have exclusive access to pre-sale tickets through the Citi Entertainment program. Additional tour dates and information can be found on the band’s official website.
In addition to their upcoming tour, Staind released their latest album, Confessions of the Fallen, in 2023. The album, released under their new label, BMG, debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and produced hits like “Here and Now” and “Lowest in Me,” the latter marking the band’s first No. 1 single since 2011. Comprised of Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, Johnny April, and Sal Giancarelli, Staind has continued to captivate audiences with their signature sound and compelling lyrics.
As Staind gears up for their Break The Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour, fans can expect a memorable celebration of the band’s legacy and impact on the rock music scene.
