Wild and Wonderful’ crowd back in force.”
The Almighty, a renowned hard rock band from Scotland, has disclosed plans for a once-in-a-lifetime event to commemorate the 35th anniversary of their influential album, Soul Destruction. The highly-anticipated show will be held at the renowned Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on Monday, November 30, 2026.
Soul Destruction, released in 1991, was a groundbreaking album that propelled the band from Glasgow into the mainstream music scene. The album features hit tracks such as “Free ‘n’ Easy,” “Devil’s Toy,” and “Little Lost Sometimes.” Following the overwhelming success of their reunion concerts in 2023, where the original lineup of Ricky Warwick (vocals/guitar), Stumpy Monroe (drums), Floyd London (bass), and Andy “Tantrum” McCafferty (guitar) reunited after more than 30 years, this upcoming event is set to be a milestone celebration.
Choosing the Barrowland Ballroom as the venue holds significant importance for The Almighty, as it has witnessed numerous iconic performances by the band over their 35-year career. In conjunction with the anniversary festivities, the band has collaborated with Silver Lining Music to reissue Soul Destruction and their debut album Blood, Fire & Love on limited-edition vinyl. These special releases include 180g splattered “Galaxy” vinyl, new artwork created by long-time collaborator Koot, and limited direct-to-consumer editions with the first 200 copies signed by the original band members.
For fans eager to attend the event, it is recommended to secure tickets promptly since The Almighty has a history of selling out the Barrowlands rapidly. Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM local time. The performance is open to those 14 years and above, with attendees aged 14-15 required to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased through See Tickets, Ticket24/7, and other major outlets.
Reflecting on their roots, the band expressed their excitement, stating, “Glasgow is where it all started for us. To celebrate 35 years of Soul Destruction at the Barrowlands is going to be something truly special. We can’t wait to see the ‘Wild and Wonderful’ crowd back in force.” This special anniversary show promises to be a nostalgic and unforgettable experience for both the band and their devoted fans.
