Former Mötley Crüe vocalist John Corabi recently addressed the possibility of joining Guns N’ Roses as a replacement for Axl Rose. In an interview with Dr. Music, Corabi shared his thoughts on taking on a major arena band role again and stepping in for Axl Rose.

Corabi expressed that he wasn’t keen on the idea, stating, “No. You know, to be honest with you, like, I don’t really want to do that again. And to be quite honest with you, like, I kind of already have that, you know, with the Dead Daisies, right?” He explained that through his work with The Dead Daisies, he has already experienced performances at major festivals such as the Download Festival, the Swedish Rock Festival, and the Woodstock Festival in Poland, where they played for hundreds of thousands of people.

The singer emphasized that he is focused on exploring different musical directions at the moment. Despite not wanting to join Guns N’ Roses, he highlighted that he has the opportunity to participate in large-scale rock performances with The Dead Daisies whenever he desires. Corabi’s recent comments reflect a busy time in his career as he gears up for various projects and tour commitments in 2026.

Corabi is set to release his debut solo album “New Day” on April 24, 2026, through Frontiers Music Srl. This marks a significant milestone for the veteran rocker as it is his first complete solo effort featuring original material after years of being in different bands. Recorded in Nashville during the summer of 2025, the album produced by Marti Frederiksen is a testament to Corabi’s commitment to developing a polished and professional solo debut.

In support of his new record, Corabi has organized a European tour scheduled for February and March 2026. This tour showcases his dedication to live performance and his exploration of new creative paths beyond his current band engagements. The timing of Corabi’s solo venture and his decision to forego potential high-profile opportunities like Guns N’ Roses demonstrate an artist who has found a creative balance that suits his artistic preferences at this stage of his career.
