Haste The Day, a metalcore band that gained popularity in the ’00s, made a comeback in 2024 with the release of a new song called “Burn” and their appearance at Furnace Fest. This marked their return to music after almost a decade of silence. However, they didn’t stop there. Today, the band has exciting news to share – their latest studio album, “Dissenter”, is set to be released on May 1st, 2026, through Solid State Records. This album will be their first since 2015.

Accompanying the announcement is the release of a visualizer for their new single, “Shallows”. The band describes the song as capturing the essence of what they aimed to create with this record – aggressive and melodic metalcore. Featuring high-energy riffs, heavy breakdowns, and a memorable chorus, the track strikes a balance between nostalgic elements and modern influences. Lyrically, it delves into themes of disillusionment, corruption, and the consequences of defiance.

The tracklist for “Dissenter” includes songs such as “Cycles”, “Grave”, “Liminal”, and “Oblivion”, among others. Haste The Day’s music reflects a sense of completion and continuity. The band, hailing from Indiana, has reignited the passion at the core of their distinctive style by refining their sound, enhancing melodies, and expanding their musical vision with a cinematic touch. With a focus on integrity, Haste The Day emerged at the start of the millennium and made their mark with albums like “Burning Bridges” (2004), “When Everything Falls” (2005), and “Pressure The Hinges” (2007).

Their discography also includes fan favorites such as “Dreamer” (2008), “Attack of the Wolf King” (2010), and “Coward” (2015). The latter achieved success on the Billboard charts, solidifying their position in the rock and metal scene. Over the years, they shared the stage with a diverse range of artists, from Hollywood Undead to Norma Jean. Despite a period of inactivity starting in 2016, their music continued to resonate with listeners, gaining millions of streams and expanding their fanbase. The band’s reunion performance at Furnace Fest in 2023 was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, setting the stage for their upcoming album release.

With their seventh LP, “Dissenter”, Haste The Day revisits their roots while pushing forward as a unified musical force. The band’s lineup includes Stephen Keech on vocals, Scott Whelan and Dave Krysl on guitars, Giuseppe Capolupo on drums, Michael Murphy on bass, and Brennan Chaulk on guitar. Stay tuned for the release of “Dissenter” on May 1st, 2026, and follow Haste The Day on their official website and Facebook page for updates and more information.
