The Black Keys announce upcoming album ‘Peaches’ and release new single
The Black Keys have exciting news for their fans as they recently announced the upcoming release of their 14th studio album, titled ‘Peaches!’ The album is scheduled to drop on May 1, 2025, just six months after their last release, ‘No Rain, No Flowers.’ Along with this announcement, the duo has also released the first single from the album, a cover of Earl Hooker’s classic track “You Got To Lose.”
In a surprise move, the Black Keys unveiled the single with a visually stunning video that showcases the band playing at Hernando’s Hide-A-Way, a popular juke joint in Memphis. Longtime collaborators Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are back with a bang, returning to a more organic approach to their music. Auerbach describes the album as their most natural yet and reveals that everything was cut live in one take, including the vocals. Carney adds that while mixing the album was a nightmare due to this approach, they managed to achieve a raw and gritty sound that they were aiming for.
‘Peaches!’ was recorded with all band members in the same room, with limited overdubs, marking the first time since 2006’s ‘Magic Potion’ that Auerbach and Carney have recorded and mixed an album entirely on their own. The roots of the album trace back to a difficult time for Dan Auerbach, as he dealt with his father’s diagnosis of esophageal cancer. Drummer Patrick Carney suggested that spending time in the studio could offer Auerbach some much-needed catharsis, leading to the creation of ‘Peaches!’

Following their performance at Rock En Seine 2026 in France later in the year, the band will head to London for two newly scheduled concerts.
