Proctor, Hermantown, & North Shore move ahead to Section 7A Championship

The Section 7A playoffs in Duluth, Minnesota, on February 7th showcased exciting matchups as Proctor/Hermantown faced off against Rock Ridge. In the second period, Peighton Paulson’s skilled shot over the goalie’s left shoulder extended the Mirage’s lead to 5-0. Mya Gunderson’s smooth goal in the third period demonstrated her talent, leading Proctor/Hermantown to a decisive 9-0 victory.

Meanwhile, the clash between North Shore and C-E-C was a thrilling game. Reese Costley’s assist to Hayden Bright resulted in two quick goals for the Storm. North Shore’s dominance continued as they scored three goals in less than four minutes. Despite Emma Morton’s efforts for C-E-C, who scored two goals in the first period, North Shore emerged victorious with a 7-4 win, setting up a showdown with Proctor/Hermantown in the 7A title game on Wednesday at 7 P.M.

On the AA side of the playoffs, Grand Rapids/Greenway secured a 5-0 win over Lake Forest, while Andover ended Duluth’s season. These results set the stage for Grand Rapids/Greenway to compete for the section title next Thursday.
