Dean Dinning from Toad the Wet Sprocket talks about the band’s acoustic album

o rock jam is a great way to close the album. It’s a perfect capstone. The strings came in later, and I think they add a different layer than what we even had in mind when we recorded it.

GM: Would you consider another acoustic project or a live album next?

DD: We are releasing our Fear album on vinyl for the first time this Record Store Day, but an additional acoustic project is something we have in mind. With the tour this summer and the lineup being myself, Glen, and Todd, and drummer Josh Daubin, who has been with us since 2020, doing smaller venues made us think about doing an acoustic project together, possibly another recording. We have been talking about it for the last year.

GM: Thank you, Dean. We are excited to hear more acoustic recordings in Toad the Wet Sprocket’s future.

DD: It has been a pleasure. Thank you, Warren. We can’t wait to bring these new recordings to life on tour and possibly in the studio in the future.
