Vinyl releases from Meshuggah, Babymetal, Megadeth, Motorhead, and more on Record Store Day 2026
Record Store Day 2026 is approaching, and fans of rock and metal music have a lot to look forward to this year. In addition to the highly anticipated Slipknot’s rumored collection, Look Outside Your Window, there are many other exciting releases from artists like Megadeth, Meshuggah, Puscifer, Babymetal, Motorhead, and more. Among the standout releases for this year’s Record Store Day is A-Ha’s Analogue 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, a special 2 x LP set celebrating the group’s eighth record. This deluxe edition will boast 21 bonus tracks, including 15 previously unreleased tracks. Against Me! is also offering New Wave B-Sides on a 12″ Vinyl EP, containing a collection of B-Side tracks from their New Wave sessions. Air will be releasing AIR Moon Safari – The Athens Concert on LP, serving as the band’s first live album capturing their 2024-2025 touring cycle.
Babymetal’s Live At The O2 Arena – Highlights will make its exclusive debut on a 12″ Vinyl EP courtesy of Capitol Records, with a recording from London’s O2 Arena. Bad Brains Live will see its first vinyl reissue since its original 1988 pressing through Org Music. Black Sabbath Featuring Tony Iommi will release Seventh Star on LP, including a remastered vinyl edition with the single remix of “No Stranger To Love.” Blur will unveil Live at the Budokan on a 2 x LP set, while David Bowie presents Hallo Spaceboy on LP, featuring mixes by the Pet Shop Boys compiled on vinyl for the first time.
Bring Me The Horizon will release Lo-files, a special 2 x LP set featuring 23 lo-fi reinterpretations of tracks from the band’s catalog. The Cars are celebrating over 40 years since its original release of Heartbeat City Live on a 2 x LP set. Collective Soul will offer Touch and Go on a colored vinyl LP exclusively for RSD fans. Alice Cooper is unveiling The Revenge Of Alice Cooper on a limited picture disc set, a 2 x LP pressing of the reunion album. Cream will present Wheels Of Fire: Live At The Fillmore Auditorium & Winterland Ballroom on a 3 x LP set with an expanded edition of their third album.
King Crimson will offer a 2 x LP set of Live – Penn State University 29 June 1974. Crosby, Stills & Nash will release The Solo Albums on 4 x LP, compiling debut solo albums from David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, along with rarities from demos and sessions. The solo album from The Cult, Weapon of Choice, will be available on a special silver effect vinyl LP with a mirrorboard sleeve. The Cure will offer a remastered edition of Greatest Hits and Acoustic Hits on 2 x LP sets, with the latter featuring acoustic reimaginings of the former. The Darkness is releasing One Way Ticket To Birmingham (Live at the NEC) on 2 x LP, a double live album from their arena tour.
Deafheaven’s KEXP Sessions will be available on a 12″ Single, featuring tracks from their 2025 album, Lonely People With Power. Def Leppard will release Slang on a 2 x LP set, curated by Joe Elliott and featuring B-sides and rarities from the time around their sixth studio album. The Doors are unveiling Strange Days 1967: A Work In Progress, Part 2 on LP, featuring unreleased material from their 1967 album sessions on Transparent Turquoise Vinyl. Dropkick Murphys and The Outlets will present Knock Me Down on a 7″ Vinyl with tracks from 1980 and 2000. Fear Factory’s Digimortal (REMASTERED, EXPANDED, 25TH ANNIVERSARY) will be available on a 2 x LP set on black & blue splatter vinyl in a gatefold jacket. Foreigner will release Foreigner 4 Live Tour 1981-82 on a 2 x LP, capturing live performances from their tour.
Goblin’s The Singles Collection 1975 – 1979 on LP will feature all the singles released by the band during that period. Judas Priest will offer Live in Los Angeles ’90 on LP, originally part of the 50 Heavy Metal Years of Music boxset, now released on transparent purple vinyl for the first time. These diverse and exciting offerings make Record Store Day 2026 a must-see event for music lovers everywhere.
